3 Year Olds and Cameras, cont...

Dscf1173Sethy's photographic prowess continues to develop (I have a whole gallery of pictures of sheep pooh!).

How about some suggestions for titles for this self-portrait?

Great Gift Idea

Ear_candlesStruggling to come up with the perfect present for your 3 eared friend? Look no further...

Spotted at a Chinese herbal shop in Coventry whilst I was out Christmas shopping. I didn't notice the lower offer at the time (and no I didn't buy either!).

R&R

Mwb_06_bible_weekWe got back from Without Borders 06 yesterday and today it's time for a bit of a crash: I would happily sleep all day!

It was a great week - perhaps the clearest examples of the apostolic ministry in action I have seen and also some great prophetic preaching. I will elaborate on those statements in future posts.

The choir and band did great, and the weather was glorious (like the rest of the week) - definitely the best Bible Week of the millennium so far. To all those who were there, it was great to see you - to all those that weren't, see you next year!

Here Comes the Sun (do mm do do)

SunshineEnough praying already... following last year's arctic cold, torrential rain and tornado, I know that every one of the 1000+ people who are going to Without Borders this weekend have been praying for fine weather - and we have it! Here in the sunny midlands it has hit 36C this afternoon (that's 97F), so can we all stop praying now please!

Actually the forcast for this weekend is looking perfect camping weather - a little cooler so we will be able to sleep at night, but clear and sunny through the day. If you're going, I'll see you there and if you're not then I'll fill you in when I get back. Now, where's my water-pistol???

Ye Must Be Shaved!

RazorBreaking News...

Due to a slight shaving accident I no longer have a beard and the kids were very nearly late for school today.

My wife can't look at me without laughing, nor can my daughter. When I suggested laughing at me was a bit mean, Connie said, "yeah, but you look really funny."

When I went to the fruit shop with my sunglasses on Noah said, "Hmmm, you look a bit more like yourself with those on."

I am now rubbing Baby-Bio into my chin in the hope of accelerating growth.

Yesterday's Man

Playstation_footyThere are many small and subtle things in life that mark the passing of years and seasons... one landmark is when you children begin to go beyond your own achievements and successes. Whilst this is truly something to be proud of, I thought it might take a little longer than this. The game is Playstation FIFA 2004...

6 Today

Dscf0206Noah (Noogz) Ling is 6 today!

Happy birthday to my fantastic son.

On Yer Bike!

BikeSaturday was my birthday and Ruth and the kids bought me a bike!

I've wanted a bike for ages and Ruth and the kids all have bikes (well Seth sits in a bike-trailer!) and I have been getting tired of running alongside them when they're out for a long-distance ride(?!?!). So it being only 2 degrees C and with a strong northeasterly blowing obviously we went out for a day's bike riding at Kingsbury Water Park.

It was a great day out and made me feel much younger, though sitting down has been an activity to only undertake with great care since!

Nearly There

Well I've just got one more event before Christmas, it's our Carol Service this evening. I am a little trepidatious as I am playing violin for the first time in 19 years (well I have done a little practising in the last couple of weeks!).

Christmas Devotions will continue over the festive season (I will post one later tonight, I'm on the wrong computer to do it now!), but if you are not going to be online for a few days - have a very Happy Christmas!Choirboys

Mind Readers?

Seth_sidewaysI know it's hot on the tails of the last pic, but I'm sure this is just as entertaining as reading something I've written!

Can you read Seth's mind?
